License Types

Icon Map Pro has different license types, according to the environment where Icon Map Pro is to be deployed.

Power BI Service & Power BI Desktop​

For deployment to users within the Power BI Service (powerbi.com or microsoft.fabric.com), or for development in Power BI Desktop, Icon Map Pro uses a user-based license model. Each person viewing or creating a map requires a license to be allocated. Licenses are purchased via Microsoft AppSource and allocated to either specific users or Entra (Active Directory) groups.

We provide bulk discounting depending on how many licenses are being purchased. Licenses can be purchased monthly, or annually. We offer one month free for annual purchases. The plans available are listed on Microsoft AppSource. For government, large enterprise deployments or for unlimited usage, please contact sales@tekantis.com.

Please note that Microsoft's licensing API does not support GCC (US government secure cloud) or regional clouds (eg China). For licenses in these environments, please do not purchase standard licenses via AppSource, and contact us instead.

Power BI Embedded​

Power BI Embedded enables organizations to embed their reports within a web portal or application using the Power BI Embedded SDK. For deployments in these environments we provide a usage based model. Please contact us at sales@tekantis.com for further information.

Publish to Web​

Publish to Web enables users to make their Power BI reports available on the web, without requiring people to log in to view the report. This can either be a direct link to the report, or embedded in a web page using an iframe. For deployments in these environments we provide a usage based model. GCC (US Government Cloud) & Regional Clouds​

For Power BI environments within GCC, despite being able to purchase licenses and allocate licenses via Microsoft AppSource, Microsoft's API is unable to validate the purchases when using the visual. Therefore, please do not purchase standard licenses via AppSource, and instead please contact us at sales@tekantis.com for further information.
